Mission ONE is our veterans resource program. We offer assistance to local veterans and veteran service organizations as well as host an annual retreat for a group of veterans, their family members and their four legged battle buddies. This retreat has been an ongoing cooperation with Healing4Heroes since our inception in 2015 and we look forward to it each and every year.
Wether you are in the adoption process or just looking for information, OneLess is a great place to look. With links to useful resources and information as well as a link to our own personal stories, we hope to provide a sense of clarity, transparency and support.
Our flagship program was Auties and Aspies, originally Auties and Aspies of Lower Alabama. Our intent is to provide support and awareness through sensory friendly movies and events as well as free resource fairs for families and local agencies who aid individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Our hope is to provide sensory friendly resources (i.e. weighted blankets, fidgets, etc) to families free of charge.
While Gulf Coast Food for Thought is not an actual John 9:3 program, we are excited about what they are doing and how they are assisting us with the homeless veteran population. In 2019, John 9:3 Foundation board of directors voted to extend a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement to the Executive Director of Food for Thought. Their mission is simple, "To feed the need along the Gulf Coast."
